The National University of Malaysia; Founded in 1970, UKM is the third public university established by the Malaysian government and the only Asian Pacific International Trade Education and Research Alliance in Malaysia. Pacific Asian Consortium for International Business Education and Research (PACIBER) member universities.

The university has two campuses. The main campus is located in Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor, 35 km from Kuala Lumpur, covering an area of 1,096 hectares (16,440 acres), and the branch campus is located in Kuala Lumpur, covering 19.9 hectares.
