Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (Universiti Teknologi Malaysia) is the oldest public engineering and technical university in Malaysia and one of the most prestigious public universities in the country. The university's main campus is located at the southernmost tip of Peninsular Malaysia, covering an area of 1177 hectares, with an additional campus covering an area of 18 hectares in downtown Kuala Lumpur. The school was founded in 1904 as a technical school to train technical professionals for the state. Polyu Malaysia has one of the largest university libraries in Southeast Asia with the largest volume of books. The library is well equipped and all management is computerized.
